Welcome To Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology Research Laboratory

The Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology Research Laboratory (GEBR) is one of the 13 research discipline of Centre for Advanced Research in Sciences (CARS) & was launched in January, 2006 at (CARS), University Dhaka. The laboratory is well equipped for various research in molecular biology, human genetics, forensic & biotechnology. All instruments are in operation at the "state-of-the-art” condition. This laboratory has been founded for cutting edge research, education and training to support students of higher degree, public, governmental and non-governmental organization. This laboratory practices international SOP guided techniques to achieve standard quality data.

Research Area:

Research Interest:

 ¨ Population Genetics

¨ Genetic diseases

¨ Type 2 Diabetes

¨ Forensic Genetics

¨ Bioinformatics
